PISTONS 2 @ STAMPEDERS 5

Who's gonna score for the Stamps this year?

T.J. Fairall seems to be a good option. The rookie Stampeders scored two goals and added an assist, leading the Stamps to a 5-2 win over the Steinbach Pistons.

Fairall's line combined for 8 points, with Justin Valtentino scoring once and setting up a pair, and Tony Partridge chipping in with a pair of assists. 20-year-old Jeff Riddell and 17-year-old rookie Jagger Thomas each scored. For Thomas, it was his first MJHL goal.

On the season, Fairall now leads the team with 3-goals and 5-points.

Jayson Argue was uncharacteristically bad, giving up TWO goals, twice as many as usual. (I kid, I kid!)

Argue has now given up just four goals in three games, for a GAA of 1.30, and a .957%, after stopping 28/30 shots on Friday.

The Stampeders completed their season-beginning three game home stand, picking up 5 of a possible 6 points, going 2-0-0-1. But the Stamps, like everyone else in the Sherwood, are chasing the Dauphin Kings early on. The Kings are off to a 4-0 start.
