A loss was the best thing that could happen for the Melville Millionaires on Thursday, and they fell 10-9 in Regina.
That clinched Regina first place in the league, which knocks Swift Current to the West Division for playoffs, and gives the Millionaires home field advantage in the playoffs.
The Millionaires still don't know who they'll face in that series which will start Saturday at Pirie Field. 3rd and 4th place comes down to another makeup game, between Moose Jaw and Weyburn on Friday. Whoever wins plays Melville. If Weyburn loses, they could miss, if those Yorkton games get played, and the Cards win (see post below). Yorkton will play Regina if they make the playoffs.
