(Jeremy Boyer and Justin Buzzeo have combined for 28 points in 6 games since joining the Terriers)
The Yorkton Terriers scored 5 goals in a 6 minute span of the second period and beat the Notre Dame Hounds 9-1 at Farrell Agencies Arena on Sunday night.
Jeremy Boyer had 2g-3a, Justin Buzzeo notched a hat trick and added one assist, and Clarke Breitkreuz added 2g-1a, as those three combined for 7 goals and 12 points on the night.
Robbie Ciolfi (1g-1a) and Riley Paterson had the other goals, while Brent Struble and Kelly Leismeister had 2 assists a piece.
Devin Peters stopped 21/22 shots for his 20th win of the season, and first since December 17th. The dry spell was certainly a "team" slump, not a Devin Peters cold streak.
Yorkton's now even in games played with the Kindersley Klippers, and hold a 4 point lead, heading into their head-to-head tilt Tuesday in Kindersley. I'm sure glad I scheduled this week's Terrier trip to broadcast back at the start of the season! We've got Tuesday's game and Wednesday's from Battleford on GX94.
