The Melville Millionaires fell 5-2 to the league-leading La Ronge Ice Wolves last night, in their first of two games in LA-North this weekend.
Shots were 57-32 for La Ronge, as Zach Rakochy made 52 saves in the loss.
Tyson Newell and Michael Rogoschewsky scored for the Millionaires, while Mark Owen assisted on both goals.
The two teams do it over again tonight in La Ronge, with the Mils' cushion over Notre Dame for fifth spot still at 2 points, with 2 games in hand.
The Yorkton Terriers can do themselves and Melville a favour tonight when they host Notre Dame at 7:30. The Terriers' lead atop the Sherwood was once again cut to two, when Kindersley beat Weyburn 3-2 last night. Estevan also shaded FF 7-6, to move 8 up on Melville for 4th, and trail 3rd place Weyburn by 2, with 2 games in hand.
