Good News/Bad News

The Notre Dame Hounds beat the Kindersley Klippers 3-1 Thursday night in Wilcox.

Great for the Yorkton Terriers, who keep a four point edge over the Klippers for top spot in the Sherwood.

Not so good for the Melville Millionaires, whose lead over Notre Dame for fifth has now been cut to 2 points. The positive is the Mils do have 3 games in hand, but they have a pair of tough ones on the horizon, in La Ronge on Friday and Saturday.

Kindersley's road swing continues to Weyburn Friday and Estevan Saturday.

Yorkton's home to Notre Dame Saturday in their only game of the weekend.

In the MJHL, the Swan Valley Stampeders suffered a tough 6-5 loss to the Blues in Winnipeg.

The Stamps are just two point up on the fifth place Wayway Wolverines, five up on Neepawa, and at least 9 behind the top three.

Dylan Trowell, Ryan Marshall, Jesse Enns, Jeff Peel and Landon Peel scored for Swan Valley, who trailed 5-2 after two periods before making a game of it in the third.

The Stampeders have 2 wins in 9 games this month, and have Friday off, before continuing their three gamer Saturday in Winnipeg vs the Saints, and Sunday afternoon in Winkler.

Early indications are it's not as bad as it could have been, but I'll let the Terrier staff say how long when it's confirmed. He'll be missing some time though.
