Peters made 32/33 saves, many of the difficult variety, and turned aside all 15 he faced in the first period to preserve their early lead. When there were rebounds, they were into the corner or out of play. Petey allowed very few second chances and looked his confident self, picking up his 21st win.
Brent Struble scored twice before the game was 6 minutes old, at 1:01 and 5:14 (PP). Clarke Breitkreuz and Robbie Ciolfi assisted on both, and that line was a threat to score most shifts. Craig Eisenhut scored a second period goal, with Jeremy Boyer and Justin Buzzeo extending their point streaks as Terriers with assists. Devon McMullen sealed it with his first SJHL goal, into an empty net from the red stripe at centre.
The Terriers have now played one more game than Kindersley, but have a four point lead again. As big as the win was, a bigger concern is the status of Blaine Tendler. The Terrier captain went awkwardly into the boards with the Stars' Tony Oak, and left the game midway through the third, and was putting no weight on one leg. Robbie Ciolfi also left the game in the third.
Kelly Leismeister will miss Saturday's game against Notre Dame, with it being Game 2 of his two-game suspension.
The wounded/suspension list as of right now includes: Tendler, Ciolfi, Poncelet, Vick, Rockwell, Majkowski, Leismeister. Only 5 forwards and 2 D!
The Terriers host the Hounds Saturday at 7:30.

The Melville Millionaires continue to have the Weyburn Red Wings' number, and so does Zach Rakochy.
Rakochy made 28 saves as the Mils beat the Wings 2-1 in a shootout.
Michael Desjarlais scored in the first period, and it stayed 1-0 until Drew George tied it for Weyburn after the midway point of the third. Justin Hollinger and Roger Tagoona scored in the SO.
The Mils continue their busy week with a Friday/Saturday swing to La Ronge against the defending champion and first overall Ice Wolves.
The extra point was huge, with Notre Dame beating Flin Flon 4-1. Melville's still 4 points up on the Hounds with 2 in hand.

Another win for the Wayway Wolverines.
The Wolves won their biggest game of the year so far, 2-0 over Neepawa, IN Neepawa, to move 3 points up of the Natives, and within 2 points of fourth place Swan Valley.
Josh Daley scored in the second period, and Shane Goodrunning in the third.
Once again the Wolverines piled on the shots, out-shooting the Natives 42-16. Ryan Benitez got the shutout.
Not a bad night for three of our local goalies! Peters, Rakochy and Benitez combined to give up just 2 goals, on 78 shots.
