Harvest Players Make the Jump

Two members of the Yorkton Harvest have been called up for their Junior Hockey debuts tonight.

Defenseman Damon Severson (left) will suit up for the Kelowna Rockets when they visit the Regina Pats tonight, while Harvest Captain F Riley Storozuk will play for the SJHL's Flin Flon Bombers in Humboldt.

Severson, who's just 15-years-old, was drafted in the 9th round, 192nd overall by the Rockets in this past June's WHL Bantam Draft. A late round pick, but turned heads in Kelowna's fall camp. The 1994 born Melville product is one of the top scoring defensemen in the SMAAAHL, with 6g-16a-22p in 26 games.

The 17-year-old Storozuk is second in goals and points on the Harvest squad, with 12g-20a-32p, and hails from Wynyard, SK.

The Harvest leave Boxing Day for the Mac's Tournament in Calgary, and host the Tisdale Trojans tomorrow (THU) at 8:00.
