Two Wayway Wolverine forwards and one from Swan Valley made this year's MJHL All-Star team. Jason Bowles (left) leads the Wolverines in scoring and is 8th in the league with 67 points (22-45-67) in 41 games. Marcoux's (right) 23 goals is also a team-high for Wayway, while his 41 points have him second on the team. Myles Stevens (middle) leads the Stamps in all offensive categories with 17-goals, 33-assists and 50-points.
The rosters are fairly Portage/Winnipeg heavy... and while they are two great teams... it's a little disappointing not to see Swan Valley defenseman Justin Giesbrecht on the Sherwood Division roster. He's got 11-goals and 27-points this season, and is awfully valuable and under-rated. You get my vote, Geezer!
But, SJHL President Laury Ryan maybe said it best this week. "When you've got guys not on the team who you think should be, it means you've got a real healthy league." And that applies in the MJ, too.

Each of our local teams had 2 players make the Sherwood Division prospects teams. For Swan Valley it was Ryan Marshall (40-5-16-21) and goalie Josh Hohn (1-9, 4.62, .865%). While Wayway forwards Ryan Duhaime (40-7-9-16) and Richard Little (40-8-5-13) are also on the squad.
