Brayden Metz was never in a slump as a Melville Millionaire, but I think Mils fans were waiting for that "break-out", multi-point night, and it came during Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Flin Flon Bombers. Metz had 2-goals and 2-assists, and the line of Metz, Kale Dolinski and Tyler Murray combined for 4-goals and 9-points.
Metz is now on a 4-game point scoring streak, and has 2-goals and 8-points during that stretch.
Aaron Decorby also made his return to the lineup, and wasted no time potting his 10th of the season, after missing a total of 21 games with 2 separate knee injuries. Decorby became the 7th Millionaire to hit double digits in goals, while Levi Lind became the 3rd Mil to hit the 20-goal plateau, notching his 20th as the game winner.
The Mils are now off for 8 days before heading to Kindersley January 16th. The trade deadline is Saturday night at midnight.
