Hockey Tonight

Well, only got a day and a half of harvesting in due to the last few days being rainy and cold.  So now for sure I'll make it back tonight for the Terriers/Mils rookie game in Melville at 7:30.  I'm sure most if not all SJHL fans have seen each team's season previews at sjhl.ca .  I had no idea Mils' defenseman Jordan Reeve had a broken leg!  It must not be like D.J. Flick bad, because he'll only miss a month of the season (back in mid-October).  And it couldn't have happened that long ago (maybe at camp for all I know!), because I was talking to Jordan at the Mils' 100th Anniversary Reunion on July 5th.  That's crazy, he'll be one of the top blueliners in the league this year and will be a big loss for the first 10 or so games.  Miss a weekend miss a lot, I guess.  That's all for today.  But check back tonight if you can't make it to the Stadium.  I'll have a complete game summary and quotes from both locker rooms.  And even if you're going, you can still catch most of tonight's Hamilton/Toronto Labour Day game (starts at 5:30 SK time), as Yorkton's Jordan Matechuk makes his CFL debut wearing #51 for the Ti-Cats.  Oh, and sorry for your loss, Bomber fans!

P.S. Note the new poll in the top right corner.  It got a good response from MJHL fans last week, now it's your turn SK!  And I've got our broadcast schedule posted above the poll too.
