Let The Rumours Begin...

The Toronto Argonauts put QB Michael Bishop on waivers today. And as quick as the rumours of Damon Allen coming to the Riders picked up after Marcus Crandell pulled a hamstring, they'll now shift to the OTHER ex-Argo QB. To be honest, I thought the Riders could have and should have gotten Bishop in the Kerry Joseph trade to begin with, and that's not a slight against OL Glen January, who appears to be fitting in nicely. Part of me would LOVE to see Bishop in Green and White, but the other part wants to see Darian Durant get his shot (which he will this weekend regardless) and hope Crandell's back the following week. If Bishop comes, and Crandell gets healthy... you guessed it... QB controversy. And the fact that Crandell and Bishop have both been, for the most part career backups, and both looking for their shots to be #1 this year, someone would be more than a little disappointed being relegated to the backup role. But I'm just a fan, and I'll just sit back and watch a GENIOUS in Eric Tillman make these kinds of decisions, and let the chips fall where they may.

Here's the story from TSN.ca haha... and pay special attention to the comments at the bottom.
