The Northern Connecticut Wings tied the Canadian Future Pro's 2-2 at the Chowder Cup in Boston today. Unfortunately they don't break ties before the quarterfinals, and it went to goals for and against, which the Wings lost by something like 2 goals. Estevan's Riley Tetreault and Melfort's Kyle Fraser scored for the Wings today, who are now eliminated. But still, the team made up of 12 SJHL players won the first two tournaments they played in, before going 2-0-1 at the Chowder Cup. Hopefully the NCAA scouts stood up and took notice of the talent the SJ has. It's head-scratching how some 19 and 20 year olds from last year don't have scholarships yet.
**And, turns out there IS a site for it. Someone posted it in the comments. Rosters, scores... had to be one somewhere. Bryan Hull had 2-2-4 in 3 games. Melfort's Kyle Fraser was the leading SJHL point getter, with 4-1-5.
