The Yorkton Cardinals and Melville Millionaires were both at home last night, and both picked up 4-3 wins.
Stephen Johnson gave up just 2 hits in 6 innings as the Cardinals hung on to beat the league-leading Swift Current Indians. The Cards built a 4-0 lead before the Indians got all 3 of their runs in the 8th and 9th.
Thomas McAlpine and Ryan Saunders had 2 hits each for the Caridnals.
Tyler Lowey went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI's leading Melville to their 12th win in their last 13 games, 4-3 over the Medicine Hat Mavericks.
However the Mils did not take sole possession of first, infact they're now a half game back of Regina, after the Red Sox swept a double header in Saskatoon... giving the Yellow Jackets now a 15 game losing streak.
Not exactly close games either... with Regina winning 14-7 and 12-2.
