I'm sure Melville Millionaire fans have mixed feelings about Logan Herauf electing to join the NAHL's New Mexico Mustangs this upcoming season, but you can't question the fact he's leaving with class.
Logan put a "Thank-You" add in this week's edition of the Melville Advance (on page 20), thanking the organization, the community, and billets, and says he's hoping to increase his chance at an NCAA Division I scholarship.
The Millionaires traded Herauf's SJHL rights to La Ronge last week in exchange for goalie Kyle Jahraus.
**My opinion? Herauf WILL get a Div I scholarship. But I believe he still would have got one if he remained in the SJHL. I had heard he was talking to American International College (a Div I school) LAST year, and it sounded like he was close to even going there this season. Herauf likely would have been a top-three scorer in the SJHL this season, and could have quite possibly won the scoring title.

Tough to see him go. The Millionaires take a huge hit in the scoring dept. I can't wait to see what Feez does to fill the void, aside from other veteran players stepping up.
