The Calgary Flames made Wadena product Joey Leach their 3rd round pick, 73rd overall at the NHL Entry Draft today.The 6'4" defenseman scored 4g-23a-27p for the WHL's Kootenay Ice as a 17-year-old. He also had a +35 rating, to go along with 81 PIM's.
I did a Fishing Lake Hockey League game in Wadena this past season, and Joey's dad Lyle did colour with me.
