- only 8 Board of Director positions are filled out of the 12 spots. Out of those 8 people, 2 are returning back to the Board and 6 are completing their existing terms. Needed 4 new members for 4 new terms.
- A number of graduating players are moving on to play at another level, including Myles Stevens (pictured) who will play at the Pro level in the Central Hockey League with the Missouri Mavericks.
- future looks good with returning players and a couple of experienced new additions already signed on with the Club.
- All camps, Hockey School, and Exhib. games are scheduled and advertised.
- Financially the Club ended up with a deficit of $16,928.00 noting that some costs were up from previous years, including sticks(note - the Stamps were ranked 8th lowest in a league of 11 teams on stick expenses), team travel costs were up slightly, and a few others.
- Corp. Sponsorship was down a little due to businesses withdrawing because of the economy, plus the one issue that was discussed at length was the attendance throughout the year, which was down from previous years. The "walk-up"sales and season ticket sales were once again a disappointment as these numbers are crucial to any organization. Putting people back into the seats of the arena is one area the Board of Directors and Stampeder Staff are going to focus on right at the start of the season.
-The Board of Directors and Stampeder Staff wish to invite everyone to come out and experience Stampeder Hockey starting in August, and hope that your support will keep this organization flourishing for many years to come.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and Stampeder Staff,
Mark Munro - Secretary of the Board. Swan Valley Stampeders
