Wolverines (11-31-0-1) @ Stamps (27-13-2-3)

The Swan Valley Stampeders are perfect in 3 games in 2010, and haven't lost in regulation since December 9th... but the Wayway Wolverines are playing some good hockey lately also, winning 2 of their last 3, and just getting Paul Van de Velde back from the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Van de Velde had an assist in last night's 3-2 loss in Neepawa, on a line with Ryan Regel and Niko Grose.

Wayway's got two lines who've contributed consistently of late. The other unit is led by Dan Kelsey, who's riding an impressive 9 game point streak (4g-10a-14p). Grose has points in 5 straight games (3g-3a-6p).

Not sure who's in goal tonight, but my 'prediction' is Caden Unger for Swan and Chris Jackson for Wayway. Unger hasn't played since December 19th, while Jayme Janzen picked up 3 straight wins, two against Dauphin and one against OCN in the last week. Jackson was acquired in a 4-player deal with Melville on Deadline Day, and Brett Gagnon played in Neepawa last night and faced 40 shots (37 saves).

For the Stamps, Jordan Sinclair (OCN) and Phillipe St. Laurent (Estevan/La Ronge) should make their debuts tonight after being picked up at the deadline.

Swan Valley's sending 4 forwards to the All Star Game, and that's no surprise. Myles Stevens leads the group, and takes a 10 game point streak into this one (6g-16a-22p). An even more ridiculous stat, is in Swan Valley's last 27 games, Stevens has been held pointless just THREE times (15g-38a-53p in 27 games).

Wayway's proven to Swan that they're not an easy two points this season despite their record, having won twice against the Stamps so far, including once at the Centennial Arena.

Pre Game Show at 7:20 tonight, Play by Play at 7:30 on GX94.
