Brendan O'Donnell scored :18 and 2:16 into the hockey game, giving the Winnipeg South Blues a 2-0 lead early on versus the Swan Valley Stampeders, but Ryan Marshall helped change the momentum with his team-leading 34th of the year on a short-handed breakaway late in the first.
After a scorless second, the Stamps' powerplay took the game over, responsible for two of their four third period goals. Shelby Gray scored twice in the final frame, while Myles Stevens and Phil St. Laurent added the others.
Jayme Janzen stopped 34/36 shots in the win.
Portage lost 4-2 to Wayway (Ryan Regal 3G), and Neepawa fell 4-1 in OCN, which puts the Stamps 9 points ahead of Portage and 12 up on Neepawa for second spot.
