Stamps End Trip With Loss in Winkler

Nick Lazorko had 3 goals and one assist as his Winkler Flyers doubled the Swan Valley Stampeders 4-2.

Jordan Sinclair and Shelby Gray scored for the Stampeders. Gray scored in every game of their 3 game swing (4g-2a-6p), and the Stampeders drop to 31-17-2-3, still just 5 points up on Portage for second spot with even games played (9 remaining).

Jayme Janzen had a .932 save percentage in a game where he gave up 4 goals... because he saw 59 shots! Obviously that's too many, and a 2:30 afternoon game at the end of a road swing may have had something to do with that.

The Stamps also had just 2 poweplays to Winkler's 7, in a game that featured 3 straight fights in the final minutes.

This was the first time the Stampeders have lost back to back games in regulation since October 25th and 30th. Winkler was also the team to hand them their second straight loss in late October.

Swan Valley's in Wayway Tuesday night (7:20 / 7:30 on GX94).
