The Yorkton Terriers played about as good as you can play in a 5-1 loss, as they fell last night in Nipawin.
Yorkton and Nipawin were tied 1-1 after one, and until there was 20 seconds left in the 2nd, when the Hawks' Jonathan Ceci scored the eventual winner.
Ryan Kerpan made 41/42 saves for the Hawks, while Yorkton's Clark Byczynski was the only Terrier to beat him in period one.
Yorkton's in Melfort tonight (SAT).

Cody Gross had 2 points (1g-1a) in his Melville Millionaire debut, helping Melville to a 5-4 (SO) win over the Humboldt Broncos.
The Mils were up 3-1 and 4-2, but Humboldt rallied with 2 late goals roughly a minute apart to force OT.
Gross, Justin Hollinger, Logan Herauf and Brayden Metz (SH) scored in regulation, while Herauf and Metz added shootout markers.
The Mils are 3-and-1 in shootouts this season, and Deszi Wiens became the Millionaires' 3rd goaltender this season to record a shootout win, following Zach Rakochy and Brady Wilyman.
Melville's now 3 points back of Yorkton for 4th spot with a game in hand. They're off until Monday night's game in ND.
