As far as I can tell, that's the OLD rink, not the one the Klippers play in, although the 2 are attached (you can see the new one to the left). But obviously it's causing a delay at the Women's Scotties, and tomorrow's Klippers/Estevan game to be postponed.

(Update from http://www.sjhl.ca/)
A major fire at the West Central Events Centre as forced the postpontment of tomorrow night's game between the Kindersley Klippers and Estevan Bruins.
Immediate plans for the Klippers are not known at this time, but will be made public as soon as the details are worked out.
Kindersley Clarion's Josh Lewis was at the scene at 11:45am this morning (Friday) and said, “The fire is well into the new rink. The lobby is definitely destroyed.”
At least 60 firefighters are working at fighting the blaze.
Various reports have flames shooting anywhere from 40 to 100 feet in the air.
We'll keep you posted.

That is terrible for Kindersley, the rink is a huge loss to any community, hopefully no one gets injured!!
The old rink housed a lot of memories and memorabillia... it was also still actively being used by the community, allowing for room for practises for hockey teams, it was the location of the annual rodeo, sometimes used for the town's Trade Fair. It is so sad to see this go. Kindersley is a great community and I know they will rally - in the past year there has been talk of building a community centre... perhaps with the loss of the rink and our town's centennial coming up this summer it we will see fundraising and effort put into making this happen. Thank God no one was hurt and thank you to all of the firefighters and other members of the community who organized quickly to save what is left of the facility.
to bad it had to happen during the hockey season
The loss of memorabillia is a thing you can not replace. I know they had a jersey in there remembering the 4 hocky players killed in the Swift Current Broncos bus accident of quite a few years back as well as other items of players that have passed on.
