Yorkton Terriers' Coach/GM Ed Zawatsky will coach Team Saskatchewan's Under-16 Team at the inaugural Western Branch Challenge in Red Deer, AB October 28-November 2nd.

In other recent SJHL news... Melville Millionaires' defenseman Casey Dion has committed to the University of Wisconsin-Superior, NCAA Division III for the upcoming season. The Millionaires acquired Dion from the La Ronge Ice Wolves at last year's trade deadline, and in 52 games between La Ronge and Melville, the Colorado Springs, CO native put up 6-goals and 21-points. His biggest goal came in Game 4 of the Sherwood Conference final when he scored in double overtime against the Weyburn Red Wings to give the Mils a 3-1 series lead in a series they'd eventually win in 6 to capture their 2nd Conference title in the last 3 seasons.
