Yorkton Dynamite under 14 girls soccer team, made up of players from Canora, Saltcoats and Yorkton, concluded a short spring season with a third place finish at the Regina Summerfest Tournament on the weekend.

Dynamite were shut out 2-0 by a Winnipeg team in their opening game Friday but went on to complete the round robin with a record of two wins,a tie and the one loss.
Dynamite won a pair of Saturday games shutting out Weyburn and Brandon by 1-0 scores.Their final game Sunday was a 1-1 draw with Swift Current.

Other game notes:

Dynamite played the tournament with only two spare players and for the Weyburn game played with no extra bodies (games are played 11 a side at this level).
Dynamite is coached by Dale Domres (dom rays) and Lisa Otto. Jeanne Fetsch is the manager. The team has played together for at least parts of three seasons - this year was shortened to just May and June although some of the players will link with other teams for summer play. Dynamite consists of players from Saltcoats and Canora, as well as Yorkton. Last year several players joined in from Melville. The team would be interested in hearing from girls in the region who may be interested in playing soccer next year.
