Zalba's a Neumann Knight

The Yorkton Terriers are happy to announce the committment of F Jordan Zalba to the NCAA's Neumann College Knights for next season.

After spending most of his junior days in his native British Columbia with his hometown Victoria Grizzlies and Merritt Centennials, Zalba joined the Terriers for 24 games in 2008-09, where he put up 7-goals and 6-assists for 13-points.

Zalba joins defenseman Greg Coburn (Union College, NCAA Div I) as 2008/09 Terriers who've earned scholarships. Expect more to come in the weeks ahead.

Neumann College is located in Aston, Pennsylvania and the Knights play NCAA Division III in the ECAC Conference.

**Check back tomorrow (THU) for audio with Zalba.

Hey Steiner,

Are you going to explore the possibility of Dean Brockman becoming the next head coach of the Regina Pats? I've heard some rumblings that he's in the mix, and why shouldn't he be? It'd be cool to get an interview wtih him once the RBC is done. What ya think?

Yeah maybe after the RBC... I'd be surprised if he's even talked to the Pats during their playoff run, never know though.

I heard another rumour a little closer to home (GX area), but we'll have to wait and see. I would think Brockman's the front runner along with Curtis Hunt if Hunt wants to come back.

Are you talking about Fiesel? Would a coach in the sjhl ever take an assistants job in the whl? I wonder if Hunt will stay with the baby sens. It seems like coaching in the AHL is a little better than the WHL but i guess it's preference. You have me thinking now though. If it's not Jamie you're talking about then who could it be? Hm...
