Morning After

Mils Fans Should Still Be Proud Because:

- No one expected anything from them at the start of the year. They were consensus bottom feeders in pre season predictions, and ranked 9th on the SJHL Power Rankings to start the season.

- While it's no consolation... the Mils have appeared in the last 3 SJHL Conference Finals, winning the Sherwood twice. They've won the most playoff rounds in the league in the last 3 seasons, aside from, of course, the 3-time champion Broncos.

- They were able to develop Tayler Jordan early in the season and get him back to the Western Hockey League.

- They won with class. I distinctly remember, in both the Yorkton & Weyburn series clinchers at home, the Mils skating to Travis Bosch, very few arms even in the air. They all knew they had yet to get to their goal.

- They lost with class. No cheap shots, running goalies, in the third period last night, when the game was already decided. They all stayed out for the post game presentation, and the coaches remained on the bench right to the end, even when it was tough to watch.

- They're graduating 10 very mature 20 year olds, and I would guess at least half of which, we'll be hearing/reading about them furthering their hockey in the pro or college ranks in the weeks ahead.

And to the "Anonymous" meathead from Humboldt... I'm not publishing your comments when you make personal attacks on people, especially when they're against probably the most top notch person I've ever met, hockey or otherwise. So don't bother. At least have the nads to sign your name.
