Just For You Donna

Donna Moore called me at 7:00 this morning and said I don't update this enough anymore... so, sorry Donna!

But, with only one series going on, there's not a whole lot to talk about, especially when they're dragging it out over so many days. I'm not a fan of it personally. I fully understand though, they want the SJ and MJ finals to end around the same time for the Anavet Cup, and they want that to end with a little bit of time, but not too much time before the RBC. But I really enjoyed doing games every second night in the Sherwood Final. Wonder if this is messing with the players' routine. Maybe a question for an intermission guest tonight.

The Millionaires are in Humboldt tonight for Game 3. How long will this "road ice advantage" keep up? The Yorkton series, the Weyburn series, AND now the Humboldt series... the road team has a better record. It's baffling. The Mils are 4-and-4 at Melville Stadium (22-6 in the regular season), but on the road, they're 5-and-2. Good thing. They wouldn't be playing tonight's game if not for that road success. And, they'll have to steal at least one more in Humboldt, which ain't easy. The Broncos are 5-1 at home in playoffs, and were 23-4-1 during the regular season.

And a quick thanks to our sister station Fox FM. As of right now (just before 9:00)... I'm very full... after they fed us all breakfast. WELL... they had a client breakfast... and there were leftovers... so us on-air vultures were all over that like flies on manure.

Talk to you tonight from Humboldt! 7:15/7:30 on GX94.
