The Humboldt Broncos now lead the SJHL Final 2-1 after last night's (FRI) 2-1 overtime win on home ice.
The two teams traded first period goals, and they both came on the same Melville powerplay. Humboldt's Matt Kirzinger scored his league-leading 8th of the playoffs shorthanded, and 56 seconds later, Tyler Murray tied it for Melville with a powerplay goal.
The Mils and Broncos played to a scoreless second, and third period, and Steven Schroeder buried the winner through the legs of Melville's Travis Bosch 5:10 into overtime for the 2-1 final.
Bosch made 29 saves in the loss, while Humboldt's Matt Larochelle stopped 31 in his second straight win.
Game 4 tomorrow in Melville. (7:15/7:30 GX94)
