PATERSON SUSPENDED ONE GAME

Terrier captain Riley Paterson has been suspended one game for a hit that occurred in the Sunday, January 15th game in Weyburn.

The Terriers open a 5 game home stand tonight when they host Kindersley at 7:30.

Wow. Almost two weeks and five games later he gets suspended. Pretty efficient league office.

Agree! Paterson didn't even know he was suspended or there was any hit under review at all, this came as a surprise! His team mate told him about it being posted on Craig Stein's Twitter this morning!???

Ok got the story behind Paterson's suspension. He laid a hit on Weyburn's captain (I believe that's who it was) Even though he received no penalty for it from the referees, Weyburn didn't like it and filed a review which takes time. After the review it resulted in what is called a Supplementary Suspension of 1 game.
