TERRIERS 5 @ BATTLEFORD 4 (SO)

The Terriers are on their way home with all four possible points on their trip, after a 5-4 shootout win over the Battlefords North Stars on Thursday.

Ryley Stefanyshyn scored twice, his first two SJHL goals, while Ryon Sookro also had a pair, and the shootout winner. Brendan Poncelet added a pair of assists.

Dawson MacAuley stopped all three shooters he faced in the shootout, and 33/37 shots in the game.

Special teams were big again for the Terriers, as they scored three times on six PP chances, and added a short-handed goal, their first SHG of the season.

Back to back wins bumps the Terriers' record to 11-10-0-1, and puts them above .500 for the first time since September 30th.

Cory Simons recorded his second shutout as a Wolverine, making 20 saves, as Wayway thumped the OCN Blizzard 7-0.

Brett Lafond had a hat trick, while Thomas Ward-Cardinal had 1g-3a.

The Wolverines are now 2 points up on OCN for 2nd in the Sherwood, and travel to OCN on Tuesday and Wednesday, both games will be on GX94.

Terriers must be playing some good hockey right now....it seems like a long time since they've had a home game.
