MILS GET A POINT / WOLVES GET BLANKETED IN DAUPHIN

The Melville Millionaires battled back from a 2-0 deficit, forced overtime, but lost 4-3 in a shootout to the Nipawin Hawks as they kicked off a two game swing.

The Mils are still winless through three games, but they did get their first point in the standings.

Ian McNulty got the Mils from down 2-0 to tied 2-2... and at that point, he'd scored the Millionaires last four goals in a row. He set up Mark Owen's goal that forced overtime, for a three point night. Jesse Mireau picked up three assists, his first points in a Melville jersey.

Alex Wakaluk made his debut in goal for the Mils, and stopped 40/43 shots.

The Mils are now 0-2-1, and travel to Melfort on Wednesday.

Our broadcast on Tuesday saw the Wayway Wolverines struggle to mount a lot of offense in Dauphin, as they fell 3-1.

After the first period, the shots on goal were 10-10, but the Wolverines managed just 9 shots in the final 40 minutes, 19 total.

Brett Pinkerton scored their lone goal in the first period, while Josh Switzer made 30 saves in the loss, as the Wolverines fall to 2-1-1.
