MILS DEAL THAM / WILLIAMSON TO MELFORT

(Mils' Coach/GM Jamie Fiesel talks about the deal in this week's Coach's Show. Click the link over there ------>)

The Melville Millionaires added some experience on the backend, and also cut their roster down by one on Tuesday, sending 1992 F Godric Tham and 1992 D Jared Williamson to the Melfort Mustangs, in exchange for 1991 D Brett Kipling.

Tham had 8g-13a-21p in 52 games for Melville last season, while Williamson had 2 points in 49 games.

Kipling, like Williamson, is a stay-at-home defenseman for the most part, and had 1g-2a in 37 games for the Mustangs last year, but already had 2-assists in 3 games this season.

Kipling suited up for the Mils Tuesday night in Nipawin, and wore #25, as he gets reunited with former Melfort teammates Lee Christensen and Jesse Mireau.

All three players involved in the deal could potentially play against their old teams tonight (WED), with the Millionaires finishing up their two game road trip in Melfort. It all depends if Tham & Williamson have arrived in Melfort yet, and if Coach Gavin Holcomb inserts one or both of them into the lineup.

I'll chat with Mils' Coach/GM Jamie Fiesel on the Coach's Show today at 10:40 on GX94... and it'll be posted here around that time too.
