The Yorkton Terriers are in the market for a new Assistant Coach. Former Assistant Coach Danny McKay announced he will not be returning to the team for the upcoming 2011-12 season.

McKay will be pursuing other employment opportunities closer to his home of Broadview, SK.

McKay first worked for the Terriers as an Assistant Coach from 2004 to 2007 where the team won two consecutive SJHL League Championships. He returned to the Terriers bench late in the 2010 season where he helped guide the Terriers back to the SJHL League Finals in both the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

McKay most recently served as the Head Coach for Team Saskatchewan at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Saskatoon this past April. The team captured their third straight Gold Medal under the guidance of McKay.

The Yorkton Terriers would like to thank Danny for his time and dedication and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
