Klippers 'Down' a Forward For Games 2 & 3

Kindersley's Riley Down has been given a 2 game suspension for a hit to the head of Yorkton's Kyle McLeod in Friday's Game 1 of the SJHL Sherwood Conference Final.

The penalty was ruled as 5 and a game for a blow to the head, but was given to defenseman David Haaf at the time. Clark Stork and I both thought it was Down on our broadcast, and then we noticed #22 on the bench a couple minutes later.

Down will be eligible to return to the Klippers' lineup for Wednesday's Game 4.

Yorkton won the series opener, and are getting set to host the Klippers for Game 2 tonight at 7:30 (7:15 on GX94).

Hahaha. As a person who loves comedy, double meanings and such, the title is great. Well done.
