Bruins Send Series to Game 5

Yes, more overtime.

The Estevan Bruins beat the Melville Millionaires 3-2 (OT) Tuesday night, and force a 5th and deciding game in the Sherwood Conference Survivor Series.

It was scoreless after 2 periods, and the Bruins were up 2-0 at the midway point of the third.

I've finally learned to NOT write off the Millionaires while trailing in the third period, so I almost expected a comeback, and thanks to a pair of late Ian McNulty goals, the Mils and Bruins went to overtime for a third time in four games.

Chris Daniels scored the winner 1:36 into overtime, on a goal Alex Sirard would probably want back, after he was magnificent through regulation, making 39/41 saves through three periods, and 40/43 on the night.

More fireworks at the end of the game.

The goal was scored at the end to my left, and after it went in, I turned around to stop my computer from recording. Looked back, and Bruins' goalie Joel Danyluk was face-down near centre ice.

I did not see what happened, and have zero comment... I'm not just being an impartial media guy.

I've heard everything from "Rogoschewsky cranked him" to "they barely touched each other and Joel was putting on a show."

Again, that's hearsay. I didn't see a thing, and have no opinion to offer.

My only opinion is this might be the most amazing series I've had the chance to call, and who would have expected that from a Survivor Series?

5-4 EST in OT, 5-4 MVL in regulation, 5-4 MVL in 3OT, and 3-2 EST in OT.

What's gonna happen Thursday?

The game will be on the air, BUT it'll be on Fox FM. 94.1 on the dial, online at www.941thefox.com .

The winner will be in Yorkton on SATURDAY for Game 1 of the Sherwood Conference Semi-Final.

-----------

Flin Flon beat Battleford 3-2 on Tuesday, to win the Bauer Survivor Series 3-1. They'll play La Ronge in the Bauer Semi starting Friday.

Wow is right what a series, the fans are getting their monies worth. I could not believe the energy the teams had considering the night before. As for Danyluk the league should put an end to that, if Rogey did hit him which from my take he did shove him, it was well deserved if he bumped his head I hope he is OK but maybe he learnt a lesson, the show boating when he loses or wins is rediculous, all that did was take away from a great game in which we lost in overtime, he always insists on barelling through the opposition, he is looking for trouble, if Rogey is punished shame on the league, if Danyluk is allowed to continue this shame on his coach. By the way Craig how do you not have laringitis you do a great job,

I'll post a little bit more on my blog this morning when I get a couple of minutes, but I saw it happened. Danyluk was rushing to the Bruins doggy pile, and Rogoschewsky was heading to the dressing room and they both simply collided. I think Rogoschewsky didn't mean to hit Danyluk. I thought it was purely incidental contact.

Clark Stork made it sound like it was a pure acting job by Danyluk when I was listening to the broadcast. Nice to see the different perspectives.

I take it you gave Clark a little tap when he went mouthing off about Danyluk and his acting job cause he sure changed his tone quickly and starting talking about how good of a goalie he is.
