Getting the Call

Did you notice the Yorkton Terriers were without a backup goalie on the bench for the entire first period on Tuesday?

Devin Peters suffered a minor injury during the warmup, which meant Warren Shymko got the start, and Trent Cassan had to get on the phone to find a backup. He called both Yorkton Harvest goalies, Kale Thomson, 17, and Spencer Bomboir, 15. Bomboir answered his phone first, and got to the rink as quick as he could, and wore the Terrier jersey for the first time.

Here's a quick chat I had with Spencer the morning after the game.

Meh, I can't see teams going after his groin!

And to be perfectly honest, it's actually not his groin.

Why are things so secretive? Why does it matter if people know?

On the off chance that an opposing player hears about it and targets the area.

Upper or lower? haha.
