The 2010 MJHL Showcase opened up this afternoon with the Wayway Wolverines skating to a 6-1 decision over Steinbach.
The Wolverines kept former Swan Valley Stampeder goalie Caden Unger busy, out-shooting the Pistons 46-17.
Gary Rai, who was just traded from Yorkton to Wayway, scored in his Wolverines' debut. Shane Goodrunning scored twice in the third period, boosting his team-high totals to 6-goals and 11-points. Curtis Veitch had 1g-1a, while Ryan Duhaime and Joe Carney scored the others for Wayway.
13 of the 18 skaters had at least a point for the Wolverines, who wrap up their Showcase weekend tomorrow (SAT) against the Saints.
Wayway's now 3-5-2 on the season, following their 3rd straight victory.
