The Melville Millionaires had just 2 points in the standings when they left for Flin Flon this weekend... and they left the Whitney Forum with 3 of a possible 4 points, improving their season mark to 2-4-0-1, with a 6-5 win on Saturday. That still has the Mils in last place in the Sherwood, tied with Notre Dame, but only one point out of third.
Dustin Eberle added a pair of assists on Saturday, to follow up his 3 point performance from Friday. The rookie now has 1g-5a-6p on the season, and will travel to Edmonton to watch his brother Jordan play in his first NHL game on Thursday.
Cody Hanson scored the winner, his 5th of the season, with 1:29 remaining in the 3rd period. He also had an assist, and a fight.
Chris Garter added his first SJHL goal for the Mils, while Mark Owen, Michael Desjarlais, Craig Karius and Justin Hollinger also found the net. Brayden Metz chipped in a pair of assists, and now has 10 points on the season.
The tough stretch in the schedule to start the year isn't over for the Millionaires, who return home to face the 6-and-0 Humboldt Broncos on Wednesday.

The Yorkton Terriers are still without a road win, but picked up a point, with a 2-1 shootout loss in Notre Dame.
The game was scoreless after 2 periods, and the Terriers needed a late PP goal from Zak Majkowsky to force overtime. Clarke Breitkreuz picked up an assist to keep his point streak alive at 7 games, and upped his league-leading point total to 14 (6g-8a).
Warren Shymko stopped 24/25 shots.
The Terriers are right back in Wilcox on Monday night (7:50/8:00 on GX94). They then host Humboldt on Tuesday.
Yorkton's now 4-1-1-1, still good for top spot in the Sherwood.

Swan Valley boosted their record to 6-and-2, with their second straight win over the Dauphin Kings.
3-1 was the final on Saturday, and Dylan Wells had his shutout bid spoiled in the game's final minute, on a Shane Luke PP goal.
Tyler O'Connor, Dylan Reimer and Clarke Byczynski (EN) scored for the Stampeders.
Wells made 32/33 saves, and 77/79 (.975%) during the home and home (2-and-0).
Coach Dwayne Kirkup said on Wednesday's Pre Game Show that he'll give Wells and Jayson Argue equal playing time in the early-going, but it won't likely stay that way. He wants one of the two to take the reigns as the number one guy. It looked like Argue may have done that early on... but has Wells earned that opportunity now? Still might be too early to tell.
The Stamps are off until they visit Wayway on Wednesday (7:20/7:30 GX94).
----------------------
Speaking of the Wolverines... their tough start continues with a 4-1 loss in Winkler on Saturday.
Paul Van de Velde scored his first of the season for Wayway, their only goal of the contest.
The Wolves are winless through seven (0-5-2) and wrap up their road trip Sunday against the Winnipeg Blues.
After Sunday, the Wolverines would have played 7 of their first 8 games on the road... at least they can look forward to some home games as they try to claw their way out of this early-season hole.
They're also off until hosting Swan on Wednesday on GX94.
