We've known since Friday the Yorkton Terriers will face the Kindersley Klippers in the Sherwood Final, while both the La Ronge Ice Wolves and Battlefords North Stars advanced to the Bauer Final with home ice wins on Sunday night.In the four Conference Semis, the North Stars were the only higher seed to win their Best-of-Seven, and they did it with a 7-4 win in Game 5 against Melfort. La Ronge survived a scare from the Flin Flon Bombers, and won Game 6 3-1 on home ice. After storming out to a 3-0 series lead against the first place Bombers, Flin Flon won back to back overtime games to force Game 6.
Neither first place seed will see the final four, with Weyburn and Flin Flon both bowing out in Round 1.
Sherwood Conference Final
3) Kindersley Klippers VS 5) Yorkton Terriers
Bauer Conference Final
2) Battlefords North Stars VS 4) La Ronge Ice Wolves
Now, I BELIEVE this is the first time BOTH Survivor Series winners have advanced to the Conference Finals... if someone who's been around the league longer than I can confirm or deny that'd be great.
Could you imagine, if one, or BOTH went on to the Credit Union Cup Final???
If neither does, well... it's a Battleford-Kindersley final. Wow! How would the Western part of the province feel if those two bitter rivals hooked up for all the marbles and a berth in the Avavet?

And by the way... Yorkton's in Eston to face the Klippers for sure this Friday & Saturday. The remaining dates aren't known YET, but should be by Monday morning.

I would love to see a Yorkton/La-Ronge final because of the way Joel Danyluk reacted after he got the win against the Terriers in the first meeting after he got traded.

No doubt Steiner! I would love to see an Ice Wolves vs Terriers League final! You'd see me at a game or 2. SJ hockey at its best!
dates should be confirmed by this AM, but it sounded like Games 1 and 2 were Fri/Sat for sure... I'll post them when I know them.
I would like to also see Danyluk take it to the team that sent him away. Bartko will be at home in B'ford then Danyluk home at Yorkton.
