For a second straight night, the Dauphin Kings defeated the Swan Valley Stampeders 5-2, to take a 2-0 series lead in their Best-of-Seven MJHL Sherwood Division Final.
Swan Valley was out-shot 33-17 on the night.
Carter Selinger opened the scoring, giving the Stamps their first lead of the series just 3:35 in, but a 4-minute high sticking penalty, followed shortly by a 2-minute high sticking penalty to Swan resulted in back to back 5-on-3 goals for Dauphin, and the Kings led 2-1 after one.
They made it 3-1 early in the 2nd, before Jordan Sinclair got the Stamps back to within one with his second goal in as many nights. The Kings would tack on two more, and just like Game 1, all the scoring was done by roughly the midway point of the game, and the teams played to a scoreless third.
Steven Shamanski had 2 goals, while Bryce Lamb, Shane Luke and Devin Mitzner had the others.
