Unger Sticks It to Old Mates

Just a couple weeks ago, 18-year-old Caden Unger was the odd-man out in a crowded Winnipeg South Blues crease. Since a late-October trade to the Swan Valley Stampeders, Unger is 4-and-0, with a 0.98 GAA and a .966%, and on Sunday, made 35 saves in a 2-1 overtime win against his former Blues' team in Winnipeg.

The win makes it 6 games without a regulation loss for the Stamps (5-0-1), and they picked up 5 of a possible 6 points on their 3 in 3 trip to the big city (2-0-1).

A red-hot Chris Reimer scored again, his team-leading 19th of the season, and added an assist. Myles Stevens also had 1g, 1a. Reimer's now got 18 points during a 9-game point streak, including 12 goals.

The Stamps also re-take sole possession of second place in the Sherwood Division (16-10-1-0), and welcome the first place Dauphin Kings on Wednesday night.
