Mils Up 2-0 in Sherwood Semi

5-on-5 I'd say the Yorkton Terriers out-played the Melville Millionaires in Game 2 of the Sherwood Conference Semi Final, but it came down to special teams, and that was a battle the Millionaires won, en route to a 4-2 victory.

Tyler Murray opened the scoring 1:49 in short-handed, and the Mils led 1-0 after the first. The Terriers tied it when Derek Serdachny scored on a 5-on-3 for his second of the series. Melville answered on a powerplay of their own when Kelly Friesen scored from the point, keeping a 2-1 lead through 40.

In the third, 3 goals were scored in the first 3:19, and that was all the scoring for the rest of the night. Logan Herauf scored on the powerplay :31 in, then Michael Jordan put one top shelf to make it 4-1 Mils at the 2:59 mark. Bryan Hull then tipped in a Clark Byczynski point shot just 20 seconds later, and the game ended 4-2 Mils.

Shots were dead-even at 38. Travis Bosch stopped 36 in the win, while Devin Peters made 34 saves for Yorkton.

The Mils were 2/5 on the PP, Yorkton was 1/6.
