Well Runs Dry / All-Star Game / Minor Hockey on GX94

Saturday in particular, GX94 hockey teams had a severe "power-outage." All 4 teams played, with a combined record of 0-2-0-2, and scored a total of 6 goals for.

Yorkton fell 2-1 (SO) in Estevan, Melville lost 3-1 in Battleford, Swan Valley fell 7-2 in Winnipeg, and Wayway had a 3-2 shootout loss at home against Neepawa.

Over the weekend, the four GX teams combined to go 1-5-0-3, scoring 17 goals in 9 games. Wayway got the only win, going 1-0-0-1. Swan Valley was 0-3 on a 3-game trip. Yorkton was 0-0-0-2 with a pair of SO losses, and Melville went 0-2 in KIN/BAT.

The goals, however were in no shortage at yesterday's All-Star game in Lampman. 29 goals were scored as the Sherwood beat the Itech 17-12. All Yorkton and Melville players had at least one point.

Tonight, it's our first DQ Minor Hockey Broadcast as the Yorkton Frame Tech Terriers meet the Yorkton Black Jacks in a Novice Game in Springside. They'll hit the ice for warmup, and we'll hit the air for the Pre Game Show at 7:00. Puck drop is set for 7:15.
