On our coach's shows this week, we'll talk to each of the coaches in our area about Saturday night's Junior 'A' trade deadline. Today it was Ed Zawatsky's turn, as the Yorkton Terriers get set to make some decisions. Goaltender Joel Danyluk's back in the WHL with the Prince George Cougars, but it sounds like that COULD be short-term. Zawatsky also addresses that situation on today's show. Check it out on the Coach's Show link in the top right corner.
You may also notice a change up there... I removed the High School Football link (until September), and replaced it with Local Minor/Senior Hockey Provincials. Thought it'd be a good place to find all the local teams in every age group from Pee Wee to Senior. I'll try my best to follow and update the page as the draws become available this week. But this is one of those things where I have to rely a little on people to get us results. If you're a player/coach/parent and have games or results you'd like to see here, or hear on the radio, don't hesitate to either comment on the blog, or contact the radio station.

That also goes for everything else, not just provincial hockey. Nothing's too small for local radio, so get us schedules/scores and you'll hear them within the hour. A gentleman from Melville faxed me the complete schedules for the South Sask Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget "AA" Hockey Leagues, and now I can get the games on for the Yorkton, Melville and Pipestone teams everyday. Manager of the Yorkton Dodge Bantam Terriers Glenn McGill emailed the station last week about this past weekend's tournament they hosted, wanting to promote their tourney and the silent auction items they had for it. I called him the next day and aired a full 4-minute interview. Easy as that! Your team can be next.
