If Saturday's 5-0 loss in Humboldt was the Broncos making a statement, the Mils answered, and then some, in Tuesday's rematch at The Vault.
The Mils cruised to a 9-1 win over the defending National Champions.
14 of the 18 Mils' skaters hit the scoresheet, with Tyler Murray scoring a hat trick, and Kale Dolinski (1-3) and Levi Lind (2-2) racking up 4 points each. Daniel Hope, Michael Jordan and Shane Stanicky all had a goal and an assist, while Logan Herauf and Jordan Reeve each had a pair of helpers.
Travis Bosch made 39 saves to pick up the win, with the Mils out-shooting Humboldt 46-40.
Melville hits the road for three games in Kindersley, Battleford, and Kindersley again this Thursday-Saturday.
--------------
In Wayway, Jason Bowles had a goal and 3 assists to lead the Wolverines to a 5-3 win over the Dauphin Kings... while the Swan Valley Stampeders dropped a 4-3 decision in Neepawa. The Stamps scored the first three goals, thanks to Myles Stevens, Craig Cornelson and Garrett Lasko, but the Natives would get the next four, including Eli Halcrow's winner with 55 seconds left. The Natives pull 3 points ahead of the Stamps with the win.
