The Portage Terriers scored two even strength goals, two on the powerplay, and even 2 short-handed markers to defeat the Wayway Wolverines 6-1 on Sunday night.
Eric Delong scored twice, while Kajon McKay, Riley Nixdorf, Don Glennie and Rob Roteliuk added singles. Nixdorf and Roteliuk's goals both game while on the penalty kill.
Jason Bowles scored in the third period to get Wayway's only marker of the game, while assists going to Richard Little and Derek Champlin.
Jayme Janzen took a rare regulation loss, making 36 saves on 42 shots. Bryan Mountain stopped 28 of 29 in the win for Portage.
The Terriers' powerplay went 2-for-4 and now sits at 40% for the season, while the Wolverines were 0-for-4, while also giving up those two short-handed goals.
Portage improves to 17-and-3, while the Wolverines slip to 12-5-1-2.
