Know What Really Grinds My Gears?

I'll tell you.

Anonymous computer geeks who bash players, coaches, volunteers, and yes, RADIO GUYS on message boards.

I, like probably all radio guys in the SJHL/MJHL check out the league(s) message boards, almost daily, whether it be for curiosity, looking for credible info (which is rare on these sites), or entertainment value.

A Flin Flon Bombers fan, named FlinFlon123, worked up his courage and decided to start a post to bash Voice of the Battlefords North Stars Dan O'Connor, who is, for my money, one of the best I've heard at this level. Passionate, informative, and it shows on the SJHL This Week editions on sjhl.ca.

And why wouldn't he be a homer? He's the Voice of the NORTH STARS. It's not like TSN where you do two different teams every night. We all broadcast for our own teams, and deal with the players and coaches several times a week, so obviously each broadcast will be geared slightly to its local listeners.

Fully aware that writing this will likely result in a similar post being dedicated to myself, but I really don't care, it wouldn't be the first time or the last. My first season when I worked in Dauphin, I got ripped to shreds for the first half of the season for sure. It slowed down after that, but even as recent last season, I was described as sounding "disinterested" and that I "don't sound like I enjoy my job," on one occasion. That crap doesn't get to me anymore, so hide behind your computer and say what you want.

Grow a pair, use your real name.

Well said Craig. Crap like that is part of the reason I gave up on the blogging. Unfortunately a few idiots wreck it for everyone.
