T. Jordan Goes Back to the Dub

The Melville Millionaires are at home to Battleford, looking to extend their lead a top the Sherwood Conference. They'll have to do it without one of their big defenseman, as Tayler Jordan's gone back to the Western Hockey League's Portland Winter Hawks.

"Portland's had a long-awaited ownership change," says Mils' Head Coach/GM Jamie Fiesel. "With ownership change has come other changes, and their coach has decided they're going to have a look at Tayler Jordan, he was Portland property before he came to us he just wasn't happy with the situation there. He's come here, he's developed and they like what they see. It's a hard thing for us as we're going to try and win and continue winning to lose a player of his calibre, but at the same time we're a developmental league, so we're proud of the fact we can move guys back to that league."

Fiesel says he hates to lose Jordan, but the timing of it's not bad, with Terrence Jorgenson making his season debut tonight, and Jordan Reeve doing the same next week.

"Yeah, we told Jorgy he's got a role to fill, so he's excited about that. We do have some backup at that position, so the timing is okay if there is such a thing to lose a good player and a good guy like Tayler. So we wish him all the best and he knows if things don't work out he's got a home here with us."
