Raiders See Their Season End

The Yorkton Regional Raider Gridders' season is over, after last night's 40-20 loss to the Notre Dame Hounds in the RIFL 3A Provincial Quarter Final.

The Raiders trailed and trailed 20-12 after the first 2 quarters, and were within one (13-12) late in the 2nd.

The Hounds then pulled away in the second half, with the Raiders' final score coming late in the game.

Yorkton Regional's 3 touchdowns all involved graduating Grade 12's. The first one was a 6-yard run by tailback Riley Hackman (video below, excuse the quality!)... Quarterback Bennett Reusch then recoverd his own short kick right after that major, and drove the ball down field, finding Dustin Anderson with a 26 yard strike.

The fourth quarter touchdown was a flea flicker, where the receiver Anderson tossed a 45 yard bomb to the quarterback Reusch. Reusch then hit Anderson for a 2-point conversion, making the final score Notre Dame 40, Yorkton Regional 20.
