Early 
in the seventh round, the Columbus Blue Jackets dipped into the MJHL Talent Pool, selecting 1988 F Sean Collins 187th overall. Collins had 51 goals and 64 assists for a total of 115 points in 2007-08. His goals and points each ranked him second in the MJHL. The Saskatoon native has a year of junior eligibility left, but has committed to Cornell University in the NCAA for the upcoming season.
