Need I say more?
The Saskatchewan Roughriders open up the 2008 season at home against the Edmonton Eskimos tonight. I may be neutral when it comes to the Terriers/Mils rivalry and the Stampeders and Wolverines, but when it comes to the Riders/Bombers... sorry Manitoba readers/listeners. I can't be neutral here, you know what it's like. You grow up in Saskatchewan (or Manitoba) and your CFL team is a part of you. It's the biggest show in town, and in our case, the province. You know what really grinds my gears? Those people who ARE from here, and their favourite team is like, Edmonton, or Calgary. Are you kidding me? If you're one of those people, I don't hate you as a person, I just question your thinking. If you're from the True North Strong and Green, I think you should cheer your @$$ off from the True North Strong and Green. But that's just my opinion, which is really the point of a blog, I've just been posting stories mainly, and that's what it will continue to be for the most part, but sometimes when I start writing, I really don't know what it's going to end up like until I'm done, like now. Anyway, I'm on my first week of holidays since I started working at GX (aside from Christmas), so I just stay away from the computer a little. Besides, I've linked Rod Pedersen's blog to mine for a reason... anything I post Rider-related will be on his site already, only 1000x better. He's the Voice of the Riders and King of the Blog. Check him out http://www.rodpedersen.blogspot.com/ . Happy Canada Day Weekend!

P.S. While I'm away, the final answer on Stephan Vigier and whether he's going to stick around and play with the Swan Valley Stampeders for another year or head to the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL may be in. I talked to Steph before I left yesterday, he was at Dauphin's Countryfest, and says he's REALLY close to knowing what's happening for sure. So, whoever's covering my duties over the next week might have a big story fall in their lap. I'm keeping it under my hat until the 99.9% becomes 100%.
